AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Amanda Lenz is a professional illustrator working and living in Boulder, CO. She’s been drawing things and playing in the woods since she could walk. Her background in fine art and design paired with the love of the outdoors come together in the “Colorful Colorado Coloring Journal” to create rich nature-inspired illustrations meant to be unique artworks.
A Colorado resident for 20 years, the high elevation has rubbed off on her. When she’s not illustrating plants, animals and imaginary things: she grows fruits and veggies in her garden, trail runs and bike commutes.

FAQs
What inspired you to create this coloring journal?
The natural beauty of Colorado is the muse for this journal. I’ve been a Colorado resident for 20 years. This state always leaves me in awe with amazing vistas and intriguing creatures and plants.
My love of nature meets my love for drawing and illustration in this journal. Inviting others to collaborate, color, and learn. Insights and journal space gives the reader even more room for exploration.
What kind of materials do you like to use?
I love to use markers and colored pencils in my daily drawing practice. A nice smooth paper allows for mixing colored pencils. The paper is a thicker stock to curb bleed-through from markers. I always suggest testing any new materials on the back glossary page to test any bleed.
The journal pages have a micro-perf, which makes cleanly removing the pages easy. Once finished, remove and display your artwork!
